![]() ![]() There are 44 of them! Of course, this does not automatically mean that each of them is a separate story. The first thing about this album, however, is.the number of tracks. (Temporary) Swanö's return to the name EoS is therefore a return to death metal that is very melodic, progressive, but also relentless with power or brutality - so referring to the momentum of the "first part". ![]() ![]() The original plans did not work out, however, and "Crimson II" - similarly to "Moontower" - found itself under the name under which it was not supposed to land in the end. But Dan had a different idea, who in cided to reactivate the group on his own (surprisingly none of the former members had a problem with it) and close the discography with something much more coherent - "Crimson II", as the title suggests, the second part of the great "Crimson"! Even more interesting, the album itself was originally planned as Swanö's second solo album. Well, the sales results and general interest in "Cryptic" quickly made the Swedes understand that it was not the best direction for the Edge Of Sanity name, and they quickly (in 1999) decided to split-up. If a band like Edge Of Sanity existed without Dan Swanö.it might as well exist with Swanö himself! Okay, Andreas Axelsson and his other ex-friends would be able to maintain the style of the band from "Infernal", but as it quickly turned out, they had a totally different vision of style under this name and preferred to go to the regions of second tier death'n'roll. ![]()
